This week's neglected book

Exposed by Lisa Scottoline

Series: Rosato & DiNunzio #5
Publication Date: August 15, 2017
Publisher: St. Martin's Press
In this New York Times bestselling novel, a battle for justice pits partner against partner...

Mary DiNunzio wants to represent her old friend Simon Pensiera, a sales rep who was wrongly fired by his company, but her partner Bennie Rosato represents the parent company. When she confronts Mary, explaining this is a conflict of interest, an epic battle of wills and legal strategy between the two ensues—ripping the law firm apart, forcing everyone to take sides and turning friend against friend.

Why did I add Exposed to my bookshelf?

This book has been on my NetGalley shelf since July 2017 and it is time that I finally get around to it.  I like Lisa Scottoline's work quite a lot so when the publisher sent me a widget for this book, I clicked on it right away.  Chances are that I already had to many books to read at the time and I just didn't get around to this one before it was pushed down on my NetGalley shelf.  I have been digging in that shelf a lot lately and am eager to dive into this one.  I will most likely grab a copy of the audiobook from the library and plan to start listening soon.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?

  1. Lisa Scotiline is an author I've wanted to try for sometime, too. I do love a good mystery/thriller so this could be a great choice for me too. Enjoy, Carole! :)

  2. I feel like I've seen Scottoline's books around for ages but I've never tried anything by her. I hope this is a good one!

  3. I see it's the 5th in the series? Have you read the others? It seems like one, that could stand on its own, and I suspect if you have enjoyed other books by the author, it could be great. Good for you deep diving on your NetGalley shelf. Not sure if I will ever get to those years past due books.

    1. I have read most of the series. I think I skipped the second book for some reason but each book reads a stand-alone so they can really be read in any order. I am working hard to make a dent in that NetGalley pile!

  4. i've read a lot of her books and really enjoyed them. happy reading

  5. I read it as a NetGalley ARC, too; Lisa Scottoline is always a must-read author, and I remember loving this one. No surprise there. I hope you enjoy it!

  6. I've only read one book by this author, but this plot sounds interesting!

  7. Ooo I haven't read anything by this author!

  8. I've read one book by this author and never managed to get back to her, but I bet it's been 20 years or at least 10. I can't even remember the plot now. It seems like I would like this sort of thing. Enjoy!

  9. I read some in this series but I don't think I read this one. I enjoyed the series. I know what you mean about having too many books to read and having some get pushed further down the TBR. Sigh.

  10. I want to try her stuff eventually after reading some of your reviews.

Oh man, I've got a few books on my NetGalley that were clicks because I love the author and got overwhelmed so couldn't get to them in time. Still have a few on there. :)
Yay for getting to those oldies.

  11. I have never heard of this one before. But I love the intrigue of that cover.

Hope you enjoy this goodie here.

  12. I am yet to try this author. I hope I can one of these days.

  13. I've always wanted to read something by this author. About time I pick one up huh?

  14. The premise is an interesting one. I look forward to your review!

  15. I don't read crime based novels so I've never tried the author, but have heard of her. Hope you'll enjoy this one soon!

  16. Lisa Scottoline is one of those authors who I have read one book by, and I keep meaning to read more. I had the chance to meet her years ago at a book festival and she was such a nice person--funny too. I hope you enjoy this one when you read it!

  17. Scottoline is an author I've been really wanting to try. Her suspense sounds really good and this one sounds like a good one! I hope you enjoy it when you finally get there!
