"If Holden Caulfield were a twenty-seven-year-old woman living in LA, this is the book he'd write, or read. It's very fast and very funny, and at its core it's that rarest of things - a truly convincing love story." — Dave Eggers

"God-Shaped Hole will change you as a reader, writer and human. It is rare books like this one that remind me why I fell in love with the written word." — Colleen Hoover

"With wit and humor, the author brings these characters and their quirky, artsy friends alive. Bottom Line: You'll dig it" — People

For the end of the world

Why did I add God-Shaped Hole to my bookshelf?

I decided to feature this book today because I just did that thing where you click on a book to buy it only to find out that you already did.  I am not the only one who does that, right?  Anyway, I bought it back in July 2017 and forgot about it sometime in the years since.  It is rated pretty high by most of my Goodreads friends, although there are a few friends that were not fans.  I have actually read several of the books that I have featured in these posts recently so maybe I will get to this one sometime soonish.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?

  1. It is the first I am hearing of this book. No you are not the only one who has clicked on books only to realize its already in your library. I am so guilty of doing the same thing.😂

  8. I've seen this one around when it first released. LOL, yes, I might have had good ol' Amazon save me a few times from duplicates because I can't seem to recall what I bought. That is fabulous that you're reading many of the ones you post. I've been making great efforts to do so as well. :)

  10. I haven't come across this one before but I definitely have almost bought a book to discover I've already bought it. Actually - especially when I was really relying on used bookstores there were several books I bought multiple times because I didn't realize I already had it!
