This week's neglected book

Mercury Striking by Rebecca Zanetti

Series: Scorpius Syndrom #1
Publication Date: January 26, 2016
Publisher: Zebra
With nothing but rumors to lead her, Lynn Harmony has trekked across a nightmare landscape to find one man—a mysterious, damaged legend who protects the weak and leads the strong. He’s more than muscle and firepower—and in post-plague L.A., he’s her only hope. As the one woman who could cure the disease, Lynn is the single most volatile—and vulnerable—creature in this new and ruthless world. But face to face with Jax Mercury…

Danger has never looked quite so delicious…

Why did I add Mercury Striking to my bookshelf?

I won a copy of the paperback of this book in a giveaway back when it was first released.  I actually have review copies of the second and third books in this series so I really need to get busy reading this one.  I have no idea why I haven't picked it up yet since it really sounds like something I would enjoy.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?

  1. I can't even remember where my BFTB came from. It must have been a book exchange because it's a paperback, not an ebook!
I hope you enjoy this Zanetti series

  2. Sounds very action packed and if you love it, at least you have the others already lined up!

  3. Zanetti is an author I've seen a lot of but have yet to read anything by. I hope you enjoy it and I'm really curious to see what you think of it!

  4. I like the sound of this one and have been wanting to try her books.

  8. I read Scorpius Rising but I haven't read this one yet. I loved the book that I read and I love her books in general.

  9. I loved the series and can't wait for the next book.

But, since you haven't started yet, see if you can snag the prequel novella, Scorpius Rising. This is one that really needs to be read to have a better grasp of what is going on in the series.

  10. I had my eye on this one looong ago, so I say read it!

  11. I read a book in another of her series and didn't care for it. I hope you'll enjoy this, when you read it. :)

  12. I LOVE this series. I like the characters and I like the apocalyptic theme. I hope you give this series a try.
