Stacking the Shelves #128

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

My Life
I guess that the big story for me this week was that I had surgery on Thursday to repair a hernia.  I am pretty useless right now since any movement is incredibly painful.  I will be off work for a couple of weeks while I heal.

I may not be spending a whole lot of time online while I recover so please be patient with me.

Books Added

Blood Match by K.A. Linde (Kindle Purchase)
In Her Shadow by Mark Edwards (NetGalley)
As Shadows Fade by Colleen Gleason (Kindle Purchase)

I have been wanting to read Blood Match ever since I finished the first book in the series.   I decided to buy it on Prime Day and was able to get a 30% ebook credit.  In Her Shadow was a bit of an impulse grab but I do like the sound of it so I am eager to give it a try.  I ended up with $6.50 in credits on Amazon after Prime Day ($1.50 for buying Blood Match and $5 for buying a $25 gift card) so I decided to pick up As Shadows Fade for $0.49 more.  I have really enjoyed this series and am looking forward to finding out how things will wrap up.

The Overstory by Richard Powers (Publisher)
Watch the Girls by Jennifer Wolfe (Publisher)
Tailspin by Sandra Brown (Publisher)
The Guilty Dead by P.J. Tracy (Publisher)

I had several book offers from publishers this week.  The Overstory sounds rather interesting.  I am really excited about Watch the Girls since it sounds exactly like the kind of book that I enjoy.  I have been a fan of Sandra Brown for a very long time so I jumped on the chance to read Tailspin. I have read some of the earlier book in the Monkeewrench series and really enjoyed them so I couldn't pass up The Guilty Dead.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

  1. I'm sorry about your surgery, but there is one positive to being unable to move... you have an opportunity to read more books, right? ;) Seriously, I hope your surgery went well and that you have a speedy recovery. <3

The only two books I added this week were the ones I won in a contest! The Impossibility of Us and Kissing Max Holden.

    1. I think I am just a bit surprised by how much one of legs hurts in addition to my stomach muscles. That makes getting up and down really hard.

  8. I hope you find ways to reduce the pain and are feeling better quickly. It looks like you have more great books. I've recently discovered Sandra Brown (audible daily deal) and I really enjoy her work so far. Anne - Books of My Heart
