Books from the Backlog #7

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread.  If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks.

If you would like to join in, please feel free to enter your link and link back to this post, then spend some time visiting some of the other posts.

This week's neglected book

Viper Moon by Lee Roland
Series: Earth Witches #1
Release Date: May 25, 2011
Publisher: Penguin Publishing Group - Berkley

A DARK, SEXY DEBUT SET IN A SMALL MISSOURI TOWN WHERE EVIL WAITS AT THE END OF EVERY ALLEY...

Cassandra Archer is the Huntress. She has faithfully served the Earth Mother for years, rescuing kidnapped children from monsters-both human and supernatural-dwelling in the ruins of the Barrows District. But when two children are kidnapped under similar circumstances, all clues point to a cataclysmic event on the next dark moon. Now Cass must race against the clock and prevent a sacrifice that could destroy the entire town…

Why did I add Viper Moon to my bookshelf?

I bought all three books in this series at a local yard sale.  You should have seen how many awesome books these ladies had for sale on their front lawn.  Anyway, I was really excited to get these books and then I promptly forgot all about them.  It has been a couple of years but I am really wanting to get to this soon especially since I just noticed that it is set in the state of Missouri, which is where I live.

What are your thoughts? Have you read this book?  Would you recommend it to others?
