Stacking the Shelves #91

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

I kind of feel like it has been forever since my last Stacking the Shelves post!  I missed two weeks in a row.   We have been so busy lately but I hope that things will be calming down very soon.  I did take a short break from the blog that I really needed but we have also been running around helping out at band competitions, parades, and just dealing with all the drama associated with getting a teenage girl ready for homecoming.  The band won quite a few awards during the past few weeks and my daughter had a great time at homecoming so I guess it was all worth it.

As a result of this crazy month and taking a few days to clear my mind, I am way behind on getting around to blogs and returning comments.  I haven't forgotten about anybody!  I am working on it but trying not to be too hard on myself.  I hope to spend some time checking out everyone's posts over the course of the weekend.  Thanks for sticking with me!

Books for Review
Van by Sawyer Bennett (NetGalley)
An Ex for Christmas by Lauren Layne (NetGalley)
The Lost Plot by Genevieve Cogman (NetGalley)
Neanderthal Opens the Door to the Universe by Preston Norton (NetGalley)
This Fallen Prey by Kelley Armstrong (NetGalley)
Wilde in Love by Eloisa James (Edelweiss)

I know that this looks like a lot of review books but when you consider that it has been three weeks, it's not so bad.  That's my story and I am sticking with it!

Books Won
Fatal Evidence by Kari Lemor (Goodreads Giveaway)
Losing Leah Holloway by Lisa Regan (Goodreads Giveaway)

I woke up to emails saying that I won both of these book on the same morning.  I do like the kindle giveaways on Goodreads since the books just appear magically in your account.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?
Let me know in the comments and be sure to leave a link to your own STS post!

    1. That is probably great advice. Especially since my weekend didn't work as planned and I got nothing done. I am working on it!

  9. As one who just got off a bit of an on-line and reviewing sabbatical, I am all for taking a break to do personal real life stuff and not to beat yourself up over not being able to get around to the blogs while away. :)
Glad all went well for you.
And woohoo on all the book haul goodies including TWO GR wins. :)

  19. Congratulations to your daughter and her band! Thank you for sharing the lovely photos! She looks great in her homecoming dress. Don't be too hard on yourself for not being able to get around to other blogs. I think we all understand and have been there ourselves in one way or another. I'm excited about The Lost Plot coming out! I need to catch up with the series. I have the worst luck with the Goodreads giveaways. I've only read one book in the several years I've been entering. I guess it's for the best considering how many other books I have to read . . . Haha

I hope you have a great week, Carole!

  22. You take all the time you need to recover after how busy you've been lately. That looks like a lot of awards in their hands which is great and your daughter looked lovely in her homecoming photo. I love the idea of books turning up magically in your account - maybe I need to enter more kindle giveaways!
