Stacking the Shelves #89

I am really excited to participate in Stacking the Shelves, a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality.

Surprise...this was another busy week.  Maybe not quite as filled as last week but still busier for my tastes.  I went to see Matchox Twenty and the Counting Crows in concert Tuesday night which really was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect for an outdoor concert.  The marching band my daughter is a member of will be spending today at a band competition.  My husband and I are helping out with the band all day so it may be Sunday before I can get around to visit everyone.

Books for Review

Lie to Me by J.T. Ellison (NetGalley)
Survive the Night by Katie Ruggle (Edelweiss)

I added two review books this week.  I am pretty excited about getting the chance to read both of these.  I have heard some great things about Lie to Me and it really sounds like my kind of book.  I must be auto-approved for Sourcebooks titles on Edelweiss since they all show up as available to download for me which is pretty exciting.  I downloaded Survive the Night to my kindle just hours after it was listed because I am really looking forward to Otto's story.

Books Purchased
White Trash Zombie Unchained by Diana Rowland (Audible Purchase)
Waking Gods by Sylvain Neuval (Audible Purchase)
11-22-63 by Stephen King (Audible Purchase)

This was another week that I couldn't resist an Audible deal.  I received an email that if I used 3 credit by a certain date then I would get a $10.  I had more than 3 credits and a wish list a mile long so I picked these 3 beauties.  Now I just have to decide what to buy with the credit once it hits my account.

What books do you add to your shelves this week?

    1. Busy is becoming normal...but I don't like it. I did have a great time at the concert though.

  2. I really missed going to outdoor shows this summer. My daughter and I always hit up some good festivals (have even travelled to some), but since grad school had to start in June, it ruined it all. Wow! Counting Crows and MB20. It seems like so many 90s bands were touring this year. I heard Waking Gods has a little bit of mixed format going on, so it made me a little more interested. Enjoy all your new books/audiobooks!

    1. I didn't go to a lot of concerts this year even though it is one of my favorite things to do. MB20 is so good live so I try to see them anytime they are in town. Sleeping Giants and Waking Gods are told through interviews and such. The audio is really well done if you want to go that route.

  3. I haven't read this Stephen King book yet but I did pick it up in a charity shop. Big books scare me now which could be a problem!

    1. I have a digital copy of it but I kind of think I am more likely to listen to it. It might sit unread and unlistened to for a long time.

  4. The concert sounds like fun. I still have to get a copy of Waking Gods. I’ve probably forgotten everything that happens in the first book, though.
